Design of custom machinery, Test and Identification Machines

Since its creation, and in close collaboration with the leaders of the pharmaceutical, medical, biotech and mechanical industries, ARMA Systems has developed specific know-how in the design and production of tailor-made machines intended for inspection, testing and monitoring. identification of clean or sterile products, primary packaging, secondary packaging of sterile products or clean products.

In 2015, ARMA Systems took over the Testing activities of the Valeo group, to strengthen its skills in IT and physical measurement, and to offer test benches with multiple applications throughout the industry.

In the development phase, we carry out test benches dedicated to the development of the product: characterization benches, endurance benches, reliability test benches. Numerous ARMA Systems functional test benches are also present at our customers’ production sites, in Germany and abroad (Eastern Europe, Asia). The test profiles are managed via HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) and programs developed by our engineers using LabView, LabWindows CVI or C/C++.
Finally, often integrated in a compact way, the test benches allow the analysis of a product during its series life. Each bench is made to measure, according to the specific needs of the customer, integrating environmental constraints.

Test and control line​

This test bench is intended for the programming and electrical control of sensors, composed of hall effect cells.

Module Test Bench​

This equipment is intended for the electrical testing of “power modules”, made up of power MOSFETs.

Sensor Test Bench

This test bench is used in the laboratory to characterize hall effect sensors at rotation speeds ranging from 100 to 10,000 rpm.

Downstream of a manufacturing and assembly process, it is necessary to ensure product compliance. Tests are implemented to allow the control of the main physical quantities, high and low power electricity, pressures, flow, forces and torques, dimensions. With a mechanical and mechatronic base, these indexed, automated and robotic machines are designed with digital kinematics and have varied applications that require specific design expertise, including the distribution and management of sterile or clean product flows, the eradication of areas that are difficult to clean and the minimization of the generation of mechanical particles.

Good manufacturing practices, cGMP, (current Good Manufacturing Practices), are taken into account and applied in the design from the definition of the architecture of the machine. Sterile or clean products are distributed and implemented with particular care in order to respect their integrity. Process equipment and integrated test equipment are chosen to meet the requirements of the targeted application. A quality follow-up in design and production is implemented in order to demonstrate the perfect adequacy of the machine with the URS, User Requirements Specifications. Everything is recorded in detailed technical documentation allowing customers to integrate it into their documentary system.

This equipment is often integrated in the clean rooms of our customers and the limits of services are agreed, but can also sometimes integrate the problems of confinements, aeraulic management of flows and clean utilities. Signal analysis algorithms and Human-Machine Interfaces are developed in LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI for National Instruments environments or in C/C++/C#/Visual basic language for Microsoft environments.

The applications developed with our customers are many and varied, for electrical products or all types of liquid, solid or powder products. The use of a wide variety of sensors and the latest technologies allows the realization of a wide range of testing applications. The identification by marking and the traceability of the batches tested is often managed by printing on the product and in the management of the data generated in computer databases.

The marking can be done by inkjet, micro-percussion, laser or other type of special coding. We can provide solutions whenever a customer is faced with a particular application for which there are no suitable standard machines due to special constraints or requiring the integration of advanced technologies.
